Violet Shimoko of Club Charm
Violet is a graduate of Kalani High School and the University of Hawai`i. She holds a bachelor's degree in Art.
She worked and volunteered in the Admissions Department of Iolani School from 1993 - 2004 and is a sustaining and past member of the Executive Board of the Junior League of Honolulu.
She conceptualized Club Charm drawing from her past experiences with her family's businesses, S&S Saimin, Aloha Maid Juice and Hawaiian Brian's.
Her most notable accomplishment is that of mother.
She is grateful to her sister, Lynn Yuasa, for her encouragement to found a leadership program for girls and to her brother, Michael Shimoko, for inspiring the Gent's Club. 
Violet will be giving an overview of "Why Manners Matter." She will give definitions, provide concrete examples and demonstrations geared toward a young audience of children ages 7 - 12 and will exemplify the ClubCharm mentorship program.Greetings & Introductions, Basic Dining Etiquette and Common Courtesy are topics that will engage children in a fun and age appropriate way.
Ms. Shimoko will be presenting "Why Manners Matter" at the Oh Baby! Family Expo 2011 on Sat. & Sun. Oct. 8 & 9 in the Demonstration Area.
