Ladder to the Moon!
Interpretive Reading & Book Signing with Maya Soetoro-Ng
Family Expositipons is proud to showcase author/ writer Maya Soetoro-Ng and her new book entitled "Ladder to the Moon" at the Oh Baby! Family Expo 2011.
Maya Soetoro-Ng was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is a writer and educator with a PhD in international comparative education.
She says Ladder to the Moon, her first picture book, was inspired by her young daughter Suhaila's questions about her grandmother Ann Dunham, the mother of Maya and of our forty-fourth president, Barack Obama.
At the Expo, Maya will be doing an interpretive reading to her audience, she will read a passage and then provide commentary about them to the audience. Things about her mom, and growing up, and her children -- and lot about what she wants readers to take away from the book; lessons about community, and helping our kids become global citizens.
Ms. Soetoro-Ng will also be autographing a LIMITED quantity of her new book entitled "Ladder to the Moon" at the show. Books will be available at the show and sold on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.
